Mark Wright: Winning the business lottery

After moving to the UK from Australia in 2012, Mark Wright won the BBC’s ‘The Apprentice’ title 2 years later. His prize was a £250,000 investment from Lord Alan Sugar to start up his digital marketing agency, ‘Climb Online’ of which Mark is both founder and Director. Mark is reportedly the most successful of all ‘The Apprentice’ winners, having kept his boardroom promise of making over 1 million pounds in the first year of business. He’s also made it onto the ‘Forbes 30 Under 30’ list and has earned ‘Young Gun’ status; an award bestowed upon some of the UK’s most exceptional business owners. As well as this, ‘Climb Online’ is classed as one of the country’s fastest growing digital agencies and has also been listed as one of the top 100 early stage businesses on the ‘Start Up 100 Index’. Mark talks about how lifechanging it was winning The Apprentice, what it’s like working with Lord Alan Sugar and about dealing with the negative attitude many had towards his success. His interview is packed full of pearls of wisdom and advice about how to make it as a successful entrepreneur.
