Robbie Earle: Believing in yourself and focussing on what you know you want to achieve

Robbie Earle played over 600 professional football games, scoring over 150 goals in a 20 year career and was a member of the legendary Wimbledon FC 'Crazy Gang' captaining the team, eventually being named the Wimbledon player of the decade in 2000. Although born in England, due to his heritage he was eligible to play for the Jamaica national team, where he captained the squad for 2 years, earning 33 caps and scoring the nation’s first ever World Cup Final's goal in France 1998. Since retiring from the pitch, Robbie has established himself as broadcaster working in print, radio and TV with companies like the BBC, Sky Sports and ITV in the UK and in 2010, he moved to the US where he works with NBC Sports on their coverage of the English Premier League as well as moving into the world of business and sports marketing. In 1999 Earle was awarded an MBE and is also a member of the Football Hall of Fame and a Patron of the Show Racism the Red Card campaign. Robbie talks to Sandro about his professional football career, the keys to what made him and his Wimbledon team so successful and how he’s managed to transfer that success into his life-after-football.
