Rimi Thaper: Concentrating on creating a great brand
Rimi Thaper is the founder of ‘LoveRaw’, the vegan brand of gluten-free snacks, drinks and powders. Rimi was formerly a hedge fund marketeer but she turned her back on that in 2013 and set up LoveRaw. She started out by investing £600 in packaging and a blender to secure her first order of products which she created in her own kitchen. In 2017 she featured on ‘Dragon’s Den’ and was offered £50k in investment by Deborah Meaden, which she turned down as she wasn’t prepared to give up a 30% stake in a business she had worked so hard to build. She has no regrets about making that decision as her company has since gone from strength to strength and in 2018 was valued at £1.75 million!
