Liz Jackson MBE: Being a great leader involves humility, integrity and resilience.

My guest today will not fail to inspire you and if you were a fan of Channel 4’s ‘Secret Millionaire’ series, you may well be able to put a face to the voice. Liz Jackson MBE is an award-winning entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker. She is currently marketing director at the family owned market leading global Mergers and Acquisitions company, BCMS. Prior to this, despite losing her eyesight in 1998 she set up her former business, ‘Great Gun’s Marketing’ telemarketing business, for which she won an award for being the best female led company in the UK. Liz was also awarded an MBE in 2007 for her services to business and in 2012 she was bestowed with an honorary doctorate by Staffordshire University for inspiring others. Liz talks to Sandro about how despite losing her eyesight at 26 she still wakes up every morning feeling incredibly blessed. She gives some fantastic pearls of wisdom about what she believes it takes to be a great leader and encourages us to embrace failure when it comes.
